MILTON 鈥 The School District of Milton saw a slight drop in its overall number of students, total adjusted headcount and full-time equivalent ratio as the 2025-26 school year got underway, per its third Friday report to the Wisconsin Department of Instruction.

Evansville regained any swagger it had lost last weekend when it was upset at home by Edgerton by dumping four-time defending Rock Valley Conference champion Monroe on the Cheesemakers鈥 turf 39-7 Friday night.

Edgerton, meanwhile, ran its winning streak to five games with a convincing 48-0 victory at Whitewater. The Crimson Tide led 21-0 before their offense had taken the field.

JOHNSON CREEK -- Senior running back Owen Pernat ran the ball 13 times for 117 yards and three touchdowns in Johnson Creek's 36-16 Trailways Conference win over Parkview/Albany on Friday at Glover Field.

Beset by injuries and illness, the Bluejays (7-1, 5-1 in conference) have adopted a next man up strategy in recent weeks. Pernat took over as the featured back and did the job. He finished scoring drives with touchdown runs of 5, 3 and 4 yards.

Senior Luke Hartz played quarterback for the second straight game and threw a 54-yard TD pass to senior Aiden Smith. Sylas Weisnicht added a 15-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter.

Parkview/Albany (2-6, 1-5) was led by sophomore quarterback Elijah Gunn, who completed 7-of-10 passes for 123 and one touchdown tosophomore receiver Jaydon Tobias. Gunn also ran for a score.
