Beset by injuries and illness, the Bluejays (7-1, 5-1 in conference) have adopted a next man up strategy in recent weeks. Pernat took over as the featured back and did the job. He finished scoring drives with touchdown runs of 5, 3 and 4 yards.
Senior Luke Hartz played quarterback for the second straight game and threw a 54-yard TD pass to senior Aiden Smith. Sylas Weisnicht added a 15-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter.
Parkview/Albany (2-6, 1-5) was led by sophomore quarterback Elijah Gunn, who completed 7-of-10 passes for 123 and one touchdown tosophomore receiver Jaydon Tobias. Gunn also ran for a score.
